Madame Lauro
Madame Lauro, who poured hydrochloric acid and nitric acid on German food supplies in freight cars on the French railroads. Hundreds of the railroad workers were shot after they were caught, but Madame Lauro continued her acts of sabotage, working alone and at night; she was never captured. Dorothy Tartiére
She was born in the US but moved to France with her husband. When he died in the war, she moved to Barbizon and bought a small ranch. On this ranch she helped hide members of the French Resistance and military members moving to England.
